Advancements in technology have changed the way offsprings utilize their spare time. Predominantly, children have been spending their free time nowadays in fostering their knowledge, generating side income from online platforms and playing games. Definitely, the positives of new technology in the lives of youngsters have numerous benefits as compared to the drawbacks.
With recent advancements in technology, children have started using it as a source of learning in building their knowledge and skills in extra time.In other words, softwares in current era, especially after the advent of Artificial Intelligence have been helping kids to outperform in schools and universities by learning advanced skills from these websites.A typical example would be chatgpt where thousands of youngsters learn concepts of their study in free time. Secondly, most youngsters have begun utilizing current technology in generating income to support their studies independently. For example, after studies, kids are generating their side income by posting videos on youtube , selling Affiliate marketing courses and services.
Additionally, playing games has been seen as a leisure activity that has been opted by predominant kids in their spare time.This not only helps them in managing pressure from studies, but, also aids them in balancing their mental health .Moreover, these activities support children in escalating their focus and interest towards studies.To cite an example, chess is the most played game by kids in extra time which fosters their thinking ability.
On the contrary, spending too much time on smartphones or laptops has impacted the eye sight of many children. Ultimately, technology has been growing rapidly and children have been taking advantage of the same, either by learning, earning or by playing with it, but excess of everything is bad so there has to be a limit.

Development in technology has substituted the way youngsters spend their unoccupied time. There are some demerits to this but there are many more merits to the technological development.
To commence with, advancements in the technological sector have changed the lifestyle of today’s generation. Firstly, it is becoming more and more beneficial for the growth of youngsters as several online resources benefit social and academic development. Schools and learning institutions provide learning worksheets on their online portals which are convenient for students to solve and also use time in a better manner. Secondly, youngsters prefer spending their free time watching YouTube videos and interacting with their family and relatives on social media platforms. This helps in improving their emotional and social development. Finally, youngsters prefer watching new entertainment material which helps in refreshing their minds. For example, nowadays virtual reality headsets are in trend and they provide exponential entertainment resources and, young adults can even play video games in virtual reality which require physical activity like running and moving around which keeps them energetic and agile.
On the other hand, some minor issues arise when the younger generation tends to spend their free time indulging in technical gadgets and devices. This habit mainly affects the physical health of an individual as it can lead to a sedentary lifestyle and bring up various health problems like obesity, diabetes and even heart attacks. Giving rise to a lazy and lethargic way of living is a drawback and it also leads to poor mental health in youngsters.
In conclusion, it can be observed that there are minor drawbacks of teenagers and youngsters spending their vacant time on technological devices, however, there are way more merits as it is leading to their holistic development.
