From the past few years, there is a drastic increase in the number of people travelling to different countries. According to this, some people believe that visitors to other countries should follow local customs and behavior while others disagree and think that host country should welcome cultural differences.
Every nation has its own customs and traditions that make them unique in the world. These customs and traditions are their identity. It is good to embrace the local practices and follow the countries tradition. It also helps the visitors to learn new things and cultures. For example, in India taking off the footwear while entering the temple is the practice that everyone follows. If the visitors from other countries visit the temples and follow the same practice then it will be treated as a common practice. If they do not follow the rules, then some the local people think differently and get sentimental. So, it is good if the visitors of other countries follow the local customs and traditions and at the same time local people should also try to understand the host country.
In other words, people can learn new things from tourists, and it can be helpful for increasing awareness amongst society members about the way of living in each corner of the world. For many visitors, it would be difficult to follow the host culture and customs because these usually differ from their own. Few people believe that the individuals and Government should be flexible and accept other countries’ culture if they want to be successful in the tourism industry and attract more tourists. It is also important for the local country to welcome the host country and their cultures.
To recapitulate, it could be beneficial for travelers to get exposed to different cultures and customs. On the other hand, the host country should also accept the new customs and traditions to enrich their cultural diversity and become a nation that respects each and every culture in the world.
