I was born and brought up in a hill station. During our growing up days we were often taken out for picnics and boat rides to Umiam Lake situated about 25 kms away from the main town. I have many photographs at that spot with the waterfront as a background. The landscape surrounding the lake is mesmerizing and in every season the lakeside wears a different look.
What made you take a photo again ?
In recent years, I visited my hometown again and had the good fortune to spend a night at a resort nearby the same lake. It was the autumn season and the trees had just started shedding leaves. The whole area was painted in autumn hues of red and orange.
We spent the day exploring the peripheral areas. We also went out for a boat ride in the blue waters and reminisced about our childhood days. In the evening, as we were walking past the pier I noticed a particular cove around a shaded area. It was then that I remembered that one of my earliest picture was taken at the same place. I could not resist the urge to take one more picture at the same place.

The damside is a picturesque site and remains an integral part of my growing up years. In my later life if I get a chance to visit Umiam Lake again, I would definitely click more photos.

I went to the National Zoological Park with my friends. It is located in central Delhi, near to the Tughlaqabad Fort. You can use the metro to reach there. It was early in the morning, around 7 PM. The zoo was just open and we have already decided to be the first to enter the zoo. It was a massive place. My classmate had already visited the Zoo, so he recommended that I also visit the zoo. I just put forward this idea among my friends and soon we fixed a date and reached there.
When did you take the photos?
The zoo had multiple species of animal, from Indian elephant to White peafowl, which is commonly called as white peacock. And it was the first time I saw all those majestic animals in-front of my eyes. I was so close to them, that there was only a meshed wire between me and the animals. There was a huge bengal Tiger, it was so huge that its paws were the same size as my face. It looked very ferocious, and the frightening stare that it gave it to me was unexplainable. I was so afraid of it. Though I missed looking at the lion. They were not present at the moment and the reptile house was also closed. I took a lot pictures of the animals, and also some selfies with my friend. There was also a large pond in the middle of the zoo, where all migratory birds laid their nest, and I also took a selfie with my friends and one of the birds got captured in it.
What special features do the photos taken there have?
Those photos mean a lot to me. My mother also wanted to go to the zoo, but it was decided that only we-friends would go there. I promised my mother to bring some videos and pictures of the animals, so that she could enjoy looking at them, though watching them on phone and exactly in front of your eyes was a great difference.
And explain why you have been there more than once to take photos?
As I was not able to take my mother to the zoo, I promised her that after a few days we will go to the zoo. And the day had come, it was her birthday. And to my surprise, I took her to the zoo, and she told me this was all I wanted.

It was at the kunchikal waterfall. I want to be a professional photographer and taking stunning photos is going to be an upgrade for my portfolio. I tend to travel a lot but the scene unfolding in front of my eyes was so mesmerizing that I didn’t know what was happening.
What made you take a photo again ?
I usually don’t make blunders while taking photos, it was a surreal moment when a bird was flying across the waterfall. It somehow made the entire scene look like a painting and I just hit the snap button on my camera, without realizing I still had the lens cap on. I tried to take another picture but it was not close to what I had missed.
Would you like to take a photo again if given a chance?
I don’t think I will have the chance to capture a moment like that ever again in my life, beautiful given a chance I would definitely try to take another photo like that again, to make sure that something like that does not happen again, I don’t use a lens cap anymore.
