When did it happen?
Two years back, on my birthday I was surprised by my friend Jaya with a special customised cake. It was the tastiest, my mouth still waters the moment I think about it, it was of mild chocolate flavor with cherries as topping on it. Apart from the flavor, it was very well decorated and garnished with multiple ingredients.

I was missing her presence on my special day and just then, the doorbell rang and the delivery person informed me about this. As soon as I came in along with the cake, she made a video call to me along with all our mutual friends. Although, I was all alone at home, with the video call I felt as though I was in between the party with a lot of friends.

The cake was special not just because of the ingredients but because of the love my friends had given me. That day is like a fond memory in my mind and I shall always cherish it. Now, all my friends are distant from each other because of the responsibilities we all have, but such moments keep us intact, and we will always remain united. These little gifts, surprises, and cakes especially add so much love to the bond we already have with people.

On what occasion did you receive the cake ?
Last week the final result of my BA program was declared and to my amazement I passed with flying colours with distinction in two subjects. It was on this occasion that my friends flocked to my place with a cake and flowers.
What kind of cake was it ?
I was happily surprised and it felt very special to be congratulated in this manner by people whom I value the most. The bouquet included my favourite yellow dragon lilies and the cake was of chocolate flavour. My friends know that I am fond of chocolate so they ordered it from a renowned bakery in the vicinity. This bakery is popular for its cakes, pastries, biscuits and other savouries. The cake was beautifully decorated with little sugary red flowers and ‘Congratulations’ and my name written in bold.
How did you feel ?
I think the memory of the day will remain with me for the longest time. We clicked several pictures together to capture the happy moments. Later I cut the cake and distributed it among my friends. The sweetness of the delicious cake and my success left a lingering taste that will forever remain etched in my memory.
