When was the day?
The day was my sister’s birthday. Unfortunately, none of our family members were at home that day for some reason, so it was just the two of us celebrating together.
Where did you go?
We decided to visit Lal Quila (Red Fort) in New Delhi because of its beautiful architecture, lively atmosphere, and open space to sit and hang out. Since we were new to Delhi, we used Google Maps to find our way from the metro station to the fort.
How much did you spend?
We had only 250 rupees with us, apart from our metro card. Luckily, there was some sort of offer going on that day, and the entry ticket for Indians was just ₹50 per person, so we entered for just ₹100.
After enjoying the visit, we faced a little funny situation — we forgot the exit route to the metro station. So, we hired an auto-rickshaw for ₹50, but the auto driver himself forgot the correct route. He ended up giving us a full round of Central Delhi, passing by places like Jantar Mantar, Connaught Place, and even some random parks.
After about 45 minutes, we finally reached the metro station. The driver was genuinely apologetic and didn’t want to charge us due to his mistake. But we insisted and gave him ₹20, as we didn’t want to take advantage of him.
In total, we only spent around ₹120 for the whole day!
Explain how you feel about the day.
It turned out to be the funniest and most budget-friendly day I’ve ever experienced. Even though the plan was simple, the unexpected detour made it even more fun. My sister and I kept laughing throughout the ride and enjoyed seeing parts of Delhi we didn’t even plan to explore. It reminded me that happiness doesn’t require a big budget — sometimes the most memorable days come from the most unexpected moments.

When was the day, where did you go and how much did you spend?
I am someone who believes that having a memorable time does not involve spending a lot. In fact, one of the most special days of my life was back in April 2025 when I had just spent around 200 Indian rupees but managed to cover three activities and eat great food as well. I visited an art museum which had free entry and amazing art exhibits. I then had some delicious and satiating street food right outside the museum. After that I decided to visit a nursery to see all the fresh flora and ended my day watching the sunset while sipping on piping hot tea.
Explain how you feel about the day.
That day was quite memorable for me and holds a special place in my heart because of how in-sync the entire universe felt with me that day. My love for art and nature all came together and I got to end the day in a relaxed state. Now, whenever I feel down or frustrated, I just go back to that day in my head to feel a sense of calm. I think reliving that day would be quite tough but I hope I do get to enjoy a day just like that which was so peaceful and didn’t pinch my pocket at all.

When was the day?
Every day is a new day and with it, it brings a lot of new possibilities to explore the world. Special days are a must in everyone’s life as they make people enthusiastic about life. One such day that I can call my special day was my college farewell. I was looking forward to it as it was a day to remember.
Where did you go?
I went to my college as the farewell had been organised by my juniors in the auditorium of the college. It was beautifully decorated and the lighting was just amazing.
How much did you spend?
So, it was a tradition of our college that the farewell was always given by the college authorities and juniors to the batch that was graduating. So, we did not have to pay anything for the same. It was kind of reciprocation as when our juniors took admission to this college, we, their seniors threw a fresher’s party for them to welcome them and make them comfortable.
Explain how you feel about the day?
I went all dressed up in a saree and had a great time with my friends and batchmates. There was music, dance and we were all given titles by our juniors where I was given the title of ‘Beauty with Brains’. It was indeed a great day that did not cost me anything at all, and in return gave me some beautiful memories to cherish for a lifetime.

What happened and when it happened?
Nowadays almost everyone is glued to their smartphones, making it seem like an extension of our bodies. I used to detest this about everyone around me and even considered becoming old-school and switching back to a smaller cell phone with just the calling feature. However, in March 2024, I got a reality check and realized how important a smartphone can be. I was out with my friends when a client from work called me up for an extremely urgent work. Even after multiple attempts to explain to them how I couldn’t possibly do it as I was out of my house, they were insistent due to the emergency they were facing.
How important the cellphone/smartphone was
It was my smartphone that ultimately saved their day and mine surely. I quickly downloaded an application on my phone after searching for the best video editor. I edited a video for my client and then quickly sent it across. That day my smartphone helped me gain some internal appreciation as well from my work team.
And explain how you felt about the experience
This all led me to realize that if I had shifted to a cell phone, my boss would have thought that I wasn’t capable of handling emergencies and my client would have also lost out on presenting well for their company executives. Since then, I’ve become a bit more grateful for this technology.
