When was it?
It was summer morning last year and my friend called me to seek help in preparation for a competitive exam that would help her get admission to her desired college.
How did you help him/her?
I understood the difficulties she was facing and explained her smart strategies to attempt the practice test also I counseled her to work in a balanced way managing both her work and personal life so that she could stay calm and refreshed all the time.
Why did you help him/her?
I helped her because she is my friend, and has always stood by my side in all moments when I needed her, she is the one I can rely on in any of my sweet or bitter times.
And how did you feel about it?
I felt nice to help her, as she was gaining confidence when her doubts cleared after using the tips and tricks I gave her for the preparation, the accuracy level increased with practice and this made her satisfied with the performance she was giving and built trust in her preparation. I feel helping someone is always great as you never know when you can be in need of the other person. So, on humanitarian grounds, I usually think of being a helping hand to anyone who needs me.

What was the occasion ?
My friend has always aspired to join government service, but she failed twice in her attempt to crack the examination. She was extremely depressed due to this. It was then after a long chat that we decided that I would sit with her every day for an hour or two to practice the English and reasoning part as I had some experience in preparing students for competitive examinations.
Why did your friend need help ?
Although my friend was always a good student but competitive exams are a different ball game. One needs to be not only good at solving the questions but time management also poses a huge challenge . It is for this reason I stepped in to help her.
Explain how you helped your friend?
Each day we sat down for about one or two hours. I helped in areas where she had doubts and timed her. With practice she improved a lot and could manage time well. Gradually she too gained confidence and filled up the registration forms. Our efforts paid off and later she secured a job in the central government.
