When and where did it happened?
A few years back, I went to a restaurant along with my family and we had all gathered together to celebrate the birthday of my niece. All of a sudden we realized that the hospitality services of the restaurant were the worst and somehow my brother-in-law being too short tempered started complaining about the same to the hotel manager.

What did he/she complain about?

He complained about the food that was served, the snacks items that were given to us were too spicy and we were just not able to have them. Also, the waiter who served us food seemed to be ill-mannered and over confident.

What was the result?

The manager listened to the complaint in a very patient manner and always guided the waiter for his behavior. The manager seemed really honest and he also served us with a free meal. He seemed too apologetic to the entire situation.

How did you feel about the experience?

I felt so nice as the manager was very cooperative and gave us a feeling that hospitality is all about patiently listening to someone who is badly annoyed and then coming over the situation in an optimistic manner. Overall, we enjoyed the day and came back home happily.

When and where it happened?
I went to a restaurant with my mother near my home. We had gone for dinner and my mother ended up complaining about the poor service of the staff at the restaurant. We ordered food and had to wait for good 50 minutes for our food to be served.

What did he/she complain about?
We had been waiting at the restaurant for over 30 minutes and had not been served any of our food. My mother complained about the lousy service of the waiting staff to the manager.

What was the result?
Her voicing out her dissatisfaction resulted in the waiting staff being a little more efficient in serving our food to us. They also profusely apologized for the delay in the service.

How did you feel about the experience?
The experience was an educational one. It taught me to voice my problems to people who can help me solve them by not bashing them but in a polite manner so they do not feel offended as well. I learned that there is a right way of doing everything.

What & where is it?

Where I live, there are a great number of street markets around just at small distances. One of the best street markets happens to be the market in Lajpat nagar. It is a great market where I go often as I love to shop.

What can you buy there?

It is one of the most versatile street markets I have ever visited. From small decorative trinkets, to huge show pieces and wall hangings, one can find anything and everything in this market. Although it is now extremely popular for food and clothes, there are stalls of traditional and western clothes throughout the market.

How you felt about it?

I feel that going to the Lajpat Nagar market is an extremely fun activity to do. In the evenings when all the lights are switched on, the entire area lights up and seeing the hustle bustle of the market brings joy. The market also allows you to bargain with the vendors.
