Recently, as the rainy season was going on, there was a huge chaos of sewerage and poor road condition in my city which caused many road accidents because of the potholes and poorly built sewerage system. So I, along with my society members, complained about this.

We sent an email notification to the municipal corporation of our district, and also the chief minister of our state. 

When did it happen?

All these instances took place in the last month as people were badly troubled by the seasonal changes and heavy rainfall.

What was the result and why were you satisfied with the result?

As soon as we sent the complaint, the members of the corporation came to witness the situation and arranged for fixing of the sewerage at the initial stage followed by construction of roads to cover the potholes and re-built the pedestrian areas to secure the life of daily travelers. Also, as the mail was sent to the chief minister, he implemented immediate strict road rules and made road camera surveillance even more strict. Making all these efforts made people cautious of the regulations that need to be followed and hence traveling became safer in society.

I am usually not the kind of person who complains when things are not as per my expectations. However, once I was at a restaurant and the service was extremely slow and the staff was rude to me and my friends. I had complained about the staff and the poor service to the manager of the restaurant.

This happened when a few of my friends and I had gone to visit a restaurant that had newly opened to celebrate my birthday. We had gone there to have dinner.

After I had complained about the staff, the manager apologized profusely for the poor service, and explained to us that currently they are short staffed and are very busy. He accepted his apology and understood the situation at the restaurant.

Last summer I was on a holiday with my family and had taken a flight from Delhi to Leh. While entering the aircraft I hurt my toe on the edge of the door. I had a deep cut and it was bleeding profusely. I immediately notified the airhostess and asked for some first-aid. The air hostesses were busy with the take off so I pressed the wound with a handkerchief and waited patiently till we were airborne. I again seeked assistance by pressing the overhead button. They assured me of assistance but did nothing. I somehow controlled the bleeding but I was in desperate need of some antiseptic and bandage. 

Describe the entire process 

Throughout the entire flight I received no help from the flight attendants. Towards the end of the journey I asked for the complaint book and registered my complaint. To which effect, on landing I was contacted by the customer supervisor who took down further details of my harrowing experience on board and assured me of a satisfactory resolution. However, no further process was initiated and I had to follow up with several emails to different departments. 

Were you satisfied with the resolution ?

It was after 6 months of relentless pursuit that finally a resolution came through. The airline took cognizance of the pain I had to endure and the sheer apathy of the flight attendants. They sent a letter of apology along with a discount voucher to be availed in the next 6 months. I was satisfied with the resolution although it took a lot of effort on my part.
