DESCRIBE A THING YOU DID TO LEARN ANOTHER LANGUAGE

I was born in India and therefore I have always been multilingual. At present, I am proficient in languages like Hindi, English and Punjabi. My father was born and brought up in Delhi which is why we communicate in Hindi Language. My mother is from Punjab and she mostly talks in Punjabi. I learned Punjabi language from mother. I also know a lot of idioms and proverbs in the Punjabi language that I use in daily life. While I can speak Punjabi fluently, I am not very good at writing.
I have always been interested in learning new languages. In school, I studied Spanish for 1 year but it was a brief course and I gradually forgot it. Recently, I decided to learn Spanish again which is why I joined The Instituto Cervantes, the best Spanish Coaching Institute in Cannaught Place, New Delhi. This institute was established by the Spanish embassy itself and they have the best trainers. It is very far from my home and it takes me about one and a half hour to reach the institute. I am enrolled in the morning batch and therefore I have to leave around 7:00 am.
Earlier I used to go to the basketball academy at the same time. I decided to take a break form the basketball academy in order to complete the Spanish course. It was a difficult decision but I do not regret it because I am learning something new and I am acquiring a skill that is going to be immensely beneficial to me in future. It took me a lot of time to convince my parents for the same because of the high fee. I am grateful that they allowed me to study Spanish at one of best coaching institutes. The trainers are professional and highly experienced.
I already have some knowledge of the language from my school days which is why I am doing well in the program. I am currently enrolled in a level 2 introductory course. I have already completed level 1. I
have worked hard to maintain good scores because I want to be promoted to the level 3. The final examination is extremely tough and I am a little worried about it. I have sacrificed a lot of things to learn this new language and my parents have high hopes as well. I want to become a Spanish trainer in future which is why I feel that I have made the best decision by choosing this career path. Hopefully, in the end,
it will all be worth it.
