What was it ?

I once learnt how to  make decorative cards using threads and colours as part of my art and craft. Over the years, I had forgotten that I knew something so exquisite. In my later years, I started to again do it in my free time on both paper and cloth.

When and to whom did you show it to ?

During a poster making session for the college, we had to make a collage. It was a huge collage and seven of us were working at it. While we did use cut- outs and pictures, we also had to fill up the gaps. That is when I showed my mates how to use threads, colours and paper to create abstract art.

How did you show it to them ?

At first I tried to describe it to them but they didn’t quite get it. I then had to demonstrate how to do it.  I first coloured the threads and using pieces of paper I pressed on it, and then I pulled hard at the string, the result was a colourful string art, which nobody had seen before. It was fast and quick and it was something very different. My friends were quite impressed by it.

When it was? & What it was?

I am a person who likes to show my things to others because it gives me happiness and satisfaction. I recently bought a new musical instrument, Ukulele, as I have been eyeing it for quite some time now. It is just a smaller version of guitar and easier to play as compared to guitar.

Who did you show it to?

So, I was very enthusiastic to show it to my family. At dinner time, I showed it to them and they could clearly see the excitement on my face.

How you showed it?

After having dinner, we were just casually chatting with each other about random things when I  went to my room and got it to show everyone my new purchase. I decided to start learning how to play it as soon as I bought it.

And explain how you felt about it?

I was glad to see that my family motivated me to learn this musical instrument and my mother got excited too as she loved to sing and asked me to play the Ukulele to the tune of her song. Well, I got all the more excited and ecstatic.

When it was and what it was.

I am a tattoo enthusiast, something that anyone who looks at me would clearly know. That’s why the most new thing I usually have is a new tattoo. While I don’t show off my new tattoos to people a lot, my last tattoo from March 2025 was one that I flaunted in front of everyone a lot. It’s a tattoo design that shows my favorite flower, Chrysanthemum, budding out of a storm inside a broken bulb.

Who did you show it to and how you showed it.

The tattoo took around 7 hours to get inked. I was slightly exhausted yet my enthusiasm was intact. I was headed to my friend’s place right after the tattoo session and I had planned to surprise her with this new tattoo. As soon as I entered her home, I jokingly said to her that I just saw a fused bulb but that fuse led to a flower growing from it. And she just looked at me, dazed. Her expressions made me burst out laughing. Then I showed her the tattoo and she got more excited than I thought anyone could ever be.

And explain how you felt about it.

Seeing her reaction gave me a sense of immense joy because even though my tattoos are for me and my passion for art, seeing someone else appreciate my design ideas makes me feel that all my conceptualization was worth it.

Describe a time you used your Cellphone/Smartphone to do something important

- And explain how you felt about the experience

What happened and when it happened?

Nowadays almost everyone is glued to their smartphones, making it seem like an extension of our bodies. I used to detest this about everyone around me and even considered becoming old-school and switching back to a smaller cell phone with just the calling feature. However, in March 2024, I got a reality check and realized how important a smartphone can be. I was out with my friends when a client from work called me up for an extremely urgent work. Even after multiple attempts to explain to them how I couldn’t possibly do it as I was out of my house, they were insistent due to the emergency they were facing.

How important the cellphone/smartphone was

It was my smartphone that ultimately saved their day and mine surely. I quickly downloaded an application on my phone after searching for the best video editor. I edited a video for my client and then quickly sent it across. That day my smartphone helped me gain some internal appreciation as well from my work team.

And explain how you felt about the experience

This all led me to realize that if I had shifted to a cell phone, my boss would have thought that I wasn’t capable of handling emergencies and my client would have also lost out on presenting well for their company executives. Since then, I’ve become a bit more grateful for this technology.
