What is it?

One of my favorite paintings is of Lord Krishna and shri Radha, In this painting they are enjoying with the 8 friends of Shri Radha who are known to be the most exalted in the holy city of Vrindavan in India. The love these 8 friends have for the lord is unique and unmatched.

From where did you buy it?

I purchased this painting from Mathura, the birthplace of Lord Krishna when I visited this place along with my son. The moment I look at this painting sitting at my home, I experience to have a different kind of calmness within myself and this helps me to forget the entire stress I carry in my work place or the regular anxieties we suffer in our day to day lives.

Is painting important?

I truly feel that paintings are the most essential part of life as they bring joy, and creativity and take us to a world we want to be in. They do not just provide us peace but help us overcome all the negativities that go on in our minds. The wide variety of paintings helps us decorate our houses, workplaces and also these days streets and corridors in the outer areas are well decorated with different paintings to represent the historical cultures too.

Why do people use painting or drawing to decorate their houses?

People usually decorate their houses with different paintings to show their creativity and also to beautify their houses. Paintings help in making the environment of the house warm, and healthy and bring in positive auras taking away all the negativities.

Who this person is & where you had the conversation?

We have daily conversations with different people on various topics. We remember certain conversations, as they leave an impact on us. I remember one such conversation with my grandmother that I had regarding money management. We had this conversation during lockdown when we were having dinner.

What you talked about?

The conversation started from how everything was on a hault during lockdown, and money had to be used wisely. My grandmother told me how important it is to save from what we have. Saving should be a habit whether the amount is small or big, one should develop a habit of saving as you never know when the need arrives. Life is a roller coaster and we do not know when it takes a turn. When we save, in the need of hour, we can optimally utilise it.

And explain how you felt about the experience.

The experience was an eye opener for me, as I realised that if I develop the habit of saving while I am young, it will prove to be helpful once I grow up. It is for our own good if we have ample amount of savings at our end to be used at the right time or when the need arrives.
