I have always been involved in different kinds of outdoor activities. As a child I developed this keen interest of going outdoors for one or the other sports. That adrenaline rush of experiencing new things has always been high in me. I went on a mountain hike recently. It was a new experience for me. My joy knew no bounds.
When and where did you do it?
This was a trail called the Hollywood hike in Los Angeles. I went on this hike in June of 2023. It was extremely hot but as we got closer to the top it got better and cooler.
Who was with you?
I had gone with my sister and my family friends who lived in the city when I was visiting them. We all had planned this outdoor activity together as we knew it would turn out to be a great adventure.
How did you feel after doing it?
It felt extremely good to be so close to the Hollywood sign after climbing for over 2 hours. The view was magnificent as well. It was a great experience. Being outdoors and experiencing such magnificence filled my heart with great pleasure.

Last summer my friends and I went to Mukteshwar for a trek. It was not a particularly difficult trek and we were all sure we could easily cover the distance in six hours.
Why did you take it up ?
It was a long standing dream to go for a trek as I had never explored the hills of North India. I became interested in trekking when I heard about it from my friend. He had gone upto Chandratal near Spiti in Himachal Pradesh with a team of sixteen. When he told me about his exciting trek and how adventurous it was, I too dreamt of going on a trek someday.
Did you enjoy it ?
On the day of the trek, we started early and covered a good distance within the first three hours. We took a one hour break before embarking on the next leg of the trek. However, as we climbed upwards it became much steeper and we were soon panting. We had to stop briefly but the views that greeted us were amazing, the pines, firs and fiery red rhodendrons dotted the hills. We also tasted some peaches and apricots at the pit stop. Later we reached the summit and sat for a while to admire the view of the hills.
The trek was much more difficult than I had imagined but I must say it was an exhilarating experience and I am eagerly looking forward to my next trip.

The outdoor activity I did or I normally do is playing badminton. I do this to maintain my fitness.
When and where did you do it?
I normally practice playing badminton in the badminton court of a park near my home, it is well maintained and people usually organize different sets of matches at varied levels.
Who was with you?
I practice playing with my friend Sunena, and she also teaches me
different techniques that can be applied to win the match.
How did you feel after doing it?
I feel relaxed and refreshed the moment I start playing badminton, the daily anxiety and frustrations that I have because of my busy work life are lost the moment I am engaged in playing the game. The best part is it helps me build my stamina and endurance and makes me feel perfect and confident.
