I have never tried skiing but I would definitely like to try it once. Whenever I see a poster or a video with people skiing in the snow valleys, it captivates me. I have always wondered how it would feel to glide across the white valleys during the winters.
How did you become interested in this sport ?
I first became interested in this sport when I was visiting a skiing ground near Shimla called Narkanda in the month of December. Around this time of the year, the winter sports are held and many participants from around the country are present. We watched some of them and when I saw the skiers take off and smoothly glide across the soft snow, I stood mesmerized. I promised myself that next time I am there I would definitely try it out.
Do you plan to pursue it ? (Why/why not?)
I know this kind of sport requires a lot of practice, therefore probably I will not pursue it on a professional level, but I would definitely like to try it and fulfil my wish of exploring the white valleys on my ski.

It might not seem like it looking at me today but I used to be an athlete back in school. Then studies took centrestage and sports became an afterthought. However, even after almost 12 years since leaving school now, I still wish I had taken up football back in those days. If I get a chance today, I’d definitely want to join a club and try it.
How did you become interested in this sport?
I think it was Baichung Bhutiya and Sunil Chhetri, famous Indian footballers, that piqued my interest in this sport. Cricket is quite popular in India but there are many talented footballers as well who do not get much recognition. That has always made me feel that if I could be a part of the sport, I could also promote it in my circles. Though I know I could do that even now, a player’s words would matter more.
Do you plan to pursue it? (Why/ why not?)
I plan on pursuing this sport soon. I have delayed this decision purely because of lack of confidence and also because I couldn’t find a football club in the vicinity of my residence. However, I found a few online social groups of fellow beginner level players and they’ve mentioned a club that’s accessible to me. So I’m hoping I’ll visit that soon and indulge in this.
