What it was

The occasion I typically enjoyed in my primary school was the co-curricular activity day that was organized by my school every Saturday so that the students were out of the monotonous academic pressure and learned new skills to refresh themselves and stand tall in the future.

Who you did it with

I engaged myself with my classmates in art activities wherein we learned to play with colors and make different art pieces. One of the best art pieces I remember was to create a replica of what our sun signs represented. We had to do so much research on this from various books that were available in the library. Together in a group of 12 students, we created 12 art pieces showcasing different sun signs and the cultural beliefs of people for each sun sign.

How Often You Did It

Every Saturday we were engaged in different activities so that we could relate more to our aptitude and recognize our talent. This not only built confidence in us but always inculcated many values like sportsman spirit, the power of winning and most important of all, work.

Why You Enjoy It

I enjoyed participating in these activities as I could make so many friends and explore the cultural differences we all had. It was more like a party time to us and we could see how unitedly the entire class would work on a project and prove their skills.

Who this person is & where you had the conversation?

We have daily conversations with different people on various topics. We remember certain conversations, as they leave an impact on us. I remember one such conversation with my grandmother that I had regarding money management. We had this conversation during lockdown when we were having dinner.

What you talked about?

The conversation started from how everything was on a hault during lockdown, and money had to be used wisely. My grandmother told me how important it is to save from what we have. Saving should be a habit whether the amount is small or big, one should develop a habit of saving as you never know when the need arrives. Life is a roller coaster and we do not know when it takes a turn. When we save, in the need of hour, we can optimally utilise it.

And explain how you felt about the experience.

The experience was an eye opener for me, as I realised that if I develop the habit of saving while I am young, it will prove to be helpful once I grow up. It is for our own good if we have ample amount of savings at our end to be used at the right time or when the need arrives.
