Last year, I had to travel back home to attend my sister’s wedding and this was planned in the eleventh hour. My father just sent me the flight tickets and I just had twenty-four hours to finish all the house and outer chores to start my journey.
When it happened?
It was summer season and the Sun was at its peak, the time when usually people are restricted from moving out of the house, but to my fate, I had to complete the entire wedding shopping in the last few hours.
How you finished it?
I just rushed up with the work, completed my home chores first, and then went out shopping. I did not cook but planned to have ready-made outside food. As I reached the market, I had made a plan in my mind to start from the dressing section, then make-up, and lastly my new sandals.
Why you had to finish it quick?
I had to finish so quickly as my tickets were booked and if I canceled them, it would be a loss, and would miss the chance to attend my childhood love’s most auspicious day. It was a lifetime chance and could not even for a second think of avoiding the event or even making my sister feel annoyed with me.

What was it ?
During my college years I had also undertaken a certificate course on communication. It was a one year correspondence course and I thought I would manage it easily along with my regular curriculum.
Why did you have to hurry ?
In the initial phase of the course for a duration of three months we attended online lectures. However, in the next months we had to submit our handwritten assignments as well as two projects. I kept putting it off till I realised that I had only about two months to complete everything.
Could you complete the task on time ?
Once I got to it I was utterly shocked when it struck me that none of the solutions were available in the books given at the beginning. Both assignments and projects required a lot of research. In the ensuing days I had to keep at it day and night. Also, as it had to be all handwritten so I had to rush through the assigned tasks.
I somehow managed to complete it all and submitted it on time. It was a Herculean task as I had to complete the tasks in a matter of two months.

Most tasks that we do on a daily basis have a deadline to them. Just like that, I remember I had to once remake a painting for my final practical exam minutes before I ran out of the assigned time.
When it happened?
I was in grade 12 and was sitting for a practical exam where I had to make a still life of a flower vase kept on a table.
How you finished it?
Since I had already drawn it once and knew the proportions , I took a fresh sheet of paper and drew the vase again. After finishing the drawing I painted it in a rush to not cross the allotted time
Why you had to finish it quickly? & Explain how you felt about it?
This became a last minute project because as time was ticking by I was working very fast, and in this hurry I toppled the jar of water over my painting which was more than halfway complete.
Explain how you felt about it?
It was a very intimidating situation as I knew work done in such a hurry could not be as good as the work I invested more time in. However in the end, I managed to finish the assigned work which was a relief.
