Well I am a huge cricket fan, however as I had my exam on that day I failed to watch this match. So the moment I exited the venue after my exam and I was returning back home I saw this sports update blinking on the phone.

As I mentioned that I am a die heart fan of cricket, so before entering the examination hall I saw an update flashing the scores which were not that great, thinking that Australia will definitely lose. But when I switched my phone on I was shocked to see the tables turned and Glen Maxwell literally changed the game. He got injured by playing single handedly. This made him earn huge respect from many people and even I got immense inspiration from this act of his.

Where you read read or heard about this story ?
While browsing the internet the other day, I came across an interesting piece of news. Apparently in a few years’ time, lab grown meat will surely and certainly replace real meat. This includes all kinds of meat – beef, pork, chicken etc
What the story was about ?
For some time now, it has been a growing concern as to how to feed the growing population of the world. As predicted by 2050, the world population will rise to nine million and it would be impossible to feed that kind of population. Hence, scientists have come up with the solution of lab grown meat or cultured meat. It replicates the taste and texture of actual meat.
And explain why this story was interesting to you ?
I found this piece of news fascinating and read through the article in detail. To think that meat can be grown outside of an animal body in itself is intriguing. However after reading the article, I realised it is not something impossible. With the help of stem cells taken from animals, it is possible to grow all kinds of meat without in any way compromising on the taste or texture.
While many are still on the fence regarding the practicality of it. However, this definitely circumvents the ethical issue of slaughtering animals for human consumption. Also, the cost of producing this kind of meat at present is high but with time this will surely come down.
