Last year I decided to buy a washing machine but was undecided which brand I should purchase. It was then that I decided to visit a nearby home gadgets store in a mall.

This shop which is located near to my home in a mall occupies the entire ground floor of the mall. The store is lined with all kinds of electronic items including many home gadgets. Since I was keen on buying a washing machine, I first looked at all the brands available, however I was completely confused which brand I should opt for. The salesman on the floor then guided me keeping in mind my requirements. He convinced me to buy an automatic machine rather than a semi-automatic one. He explained to me how a technologically superior machine can wash different materials without damaging it, like cotton, silk, woollen or any other delicate items.

I was highly satisfied with the services as the salesman not only guided me properly but also ensured that I get a good discount on the item. After I purchased the washing machine, the store also provided the necessary after-sales services.

These days online shopping is so prevalent even for basic groceries that shopping at offline stores has become a rarity. However, two days ago I went to purchase some lip sticks at a local shop nearby and I am so glad I have this shop in such close proximity to my place. The employees there are extremely helpful, more than any online reviews could ever be.

I always end up buying the wrong lip shades for myself because I surely lack the understanding of color theory and what colors suit me. This time I was struggling to finalize a color but the staff at this shop gave me great suggestions without pushing for expensive products. They actually cared about my needs and didn’t pressurize me to buy more products. Besides that, they were also quite welcoming and warm. Online shops would never have this. I’ll definitely visit the shop again.

Just 3 days ago, my mother gave me an Indian two-piece apparel as a birthday present. She wanted me to get the alterations done to it in time so I could wear it on my birthday, but the garment is definitely not meant to be worn on a birthday. It’s a traditional Indian co-ord set that has a top and a trouser, called salwar-kameez regionally. The design detail is quite intricate and the work on it is shiny. Considering that, it is more suitable for greater occasions of grandeur, like the Indian festival called Diwali. So I have decided to get it altered once Diwali is around the corner. What happened and when it happened?
Nowadays almost everyone is glued to their smartphones, making it seem like an extension of our bodies. I used to detest this about everyone around me and even considered becoming old-school and switching back to a smaller cell phone with just the calling feature. However, in March 2024, I got a reality check and realized how important a smartphone can be. I was out with my friends when a client from work called me up for an extremely urgent work. Even after multiple attempts to explain to them how I couldn’t possibly do it as I was out of my house, they were insistent due to the emergency they were facing.
How important the cellphone/smartphone was
It was my smartphone that ultimately saved their day and mine surely. I quickly downloaded an application on my phone after searching for the best video editor. I edited a video for my client and then quickly sent it across. That day my smartphone helped me gain some internal appreciation as well from my work team.

This all led me to realize that if I had shifted to a cell phone, my boss would have thought that I wasn’t capable of handling emergencies and my client would have also lost out on presenting well for their company executives. Since then, I’ve become a bit more grateful for this technology.
