What is it
My country has a diversity in all its factors, from landforms to climate, from culture to traditions. I am really keen to know about certain mythological details about my country’s belief in Lord Krishna.
How you know about it
I came to know about this in my childhood days, as my grandmother used to narrate many stories related to the lord and developed my keen interest in making my belief strong in believing the fact of the gods existence in the universe.
Why you are interested in
I am really interested in acknowledging myself with the facts and fantasies mentioned in the holy book of the lord and the way life circulates around the deeds one does. It teaches many ways of living life with content, satisfaction and without any worldly pleasures. Also, it is an answer to all the questions one can have in mind and heart related to any aspect of life.
And explain whether you would like to know more about it.
I would however, make it a point to deep dive more into the holy book to acquire the knowledge of love and wisdom so that I am able to teach my future generation, the ways to be happy, prosperous and successful creating a balance in work and life and most importantly to live life with compassion, without stress and anxiety.

I have always been fascinated by the rich cultural heritage that we have in India. Also, India is world renowned for its majestic monuments, palaces, minars, sprawling gardens and mausoleums like the Taj Mahal. While I have visited many of these, I would like to know more about the lifestyle of the kings and queens who ruled long back – their lifestyle, the stories associated with them and the legacy they left behind.
Why do you think it is interesting
Many of the cities in India like Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Agra, Golkonda, Konark are dotted with exquisite palaces, temples and minarets. Many of these have exquisite carvings, statues and inscriptions. Palaces belonging to some of the kings exude the grandeur of another era. In many of these, their family members still live in one part while the other part is open to public viewing. For example, the plush Jodhpur Palace or the Lake Palace of Udaipur have been turned to 5-star hotels and a part of it is retained by the members of the family.
As a visitor, one can admire the colourful display of art and craft, the intricately carved furniture, the high domes and much more. It gives a person a peek into the grandeur of yesteryear kings and queens. Often these palaces are surrounded by lush gardens and display of vintage cars.
Would you encourage others to know more about it
I would encourage others to also take a closer look at these grand palaces and mansions, whenever the opportunity presents itself. Often, history books are accompanied by pictures but these hardly match up to real life experiences.

What it is
I am always proud of India’s diversity, rich cultural heritage and varied societies living here. one of the prominent fact is about the people living in the northeastern side of my country, they have a very interesting matrilineal system of society wherein women play a dominant role in the family.
How you know about it
I read this in one of the books and also explored the same on the internet and came to know so many fascinating ways of living life and all of them were completely new to me. Women playing a major role and taking and finalizing all family decisions was something that made me feel proud of these people.
Why you are interested in
I became more keen in enquiring more about this as I was working on a project in which I had to make aware the rights of women in many rural areas wherein they were leading a depressing life. It helped me encourage those suffering women so much and also made men of their societies realize the real power and honor that a lady carries within herself.
And explain whether you would like to know more about it
I would surely like to know more about these societies as they set an example of equality, trust, and belief that a woman should be given. I would like to meet the old age people and enquire about the history and the way these people could achieve success, live happily, and share qualitative time with their families. Also, the rituals they practice in life could help me bring about a change in the overall development of women in society.
